I’m on the fence about this cookie.

On one hand, I’m mad at it for being neither brown buttery or salty in any profound way.

On the other hand, if they didn’t use these words in its name, I wouldn’t be expecting those two extra hits of flavor in my mouth –  and instead would probably go ahead and call it an above average chocolate chip cookie.

In other words, “brown butter” and “salt” got my hopes up. So when I took a bite and it didn’t knock me out, I felt let down. I’m not gonna lie.

Ultimately, though, it IS a very solid ccc  – good texture, flavor and girth. Not overly-chipped or chunked.

If you go into it expecting standard Tollhouse – you’ll most likely be delighted.
